The TK Bedford is showing as much longevity as the Fletchers,it must be about 40 years old..... ;D

Yes I was talking to the pilot about the Bedford, I believe from memory it the oldest in the loaders based at Roxburgh but still their most reliable. They are just work horses.

What a piece of machinery. Bet it makes short work of the jobs. Looks fairly new too. Which company uses this?? And what are they loading with it?? Very nice setup.

Can't see the logic in this setup at all, especially if you are paying for someone to transport it from strip to strip. A Mitsi Fighter or equivalent would be at the next strip working before this thing was loaded, that's if the transporter was on time.

I was trying to work out how you refuelled the aircraft with the digger combo. I guess you needed a tanker and yet another driver. I did a little loading some years back. I looked back through the pics and I am pretty sure it would have been the vehicle in BHJ's posts in Aug 2010. Post 31. Never got it bogged either and we were in some pretty lush areas.

I wold love to get some photos of the static loaders that Fieldair used for the DC3 and Lodestars. Is there any out there? Used at Oringi, Gisborne and other airstrips they used
