Sadly another pilot in that dangerous profession of aerial topdressing has been added to the list of that trade's casualties, with the death this afternoon of a pilot who was topdressing near Kaitaia. Very sad. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

As always, a very sad event.
Strangely, the accident has not been included in the weekly accident summary on the CAA website.
The aircraft involved was probably Far North Air Fu-24 EGP, as I have seen the very badly damaged remains of this Fletcher at Ardmore today.

Retirement is something for the young.
Once you are old you never seem to have the time.
