Its great to see that several of the participants at Wanganui are still with us, it does disappoint me though that the RNZAC pageants are no longer held. Oh to have been born ten years earlier!

If they start it with compressed air, could it not be modfied further to blow out jets of black soot upwards and replicate a proper start?  |

I wonder which JetRanger that is? Can confirm that this is HCX. At the time it was owned by my uncle, John Rowell of Rowell Asphalts. And yes, him and his mate Hank Courtney (HYA) did do those joyrides on the Riverbank Carpark in Lower Hutt for the local hospice. He sold the machine years ago sadly, but I spent plenty of hours flying passenger in that bird! Only really wanted to post this to say thanks to whoever posted as I've just re-installed FSX and was thinking about doing a repaint of the default 206 in HCX colours. Buggered if I could find a photo of it though! If anyone else has some pics they'd be greatly appreciated! |

well - it'll be my first proper repaint... so it could be a disaster, but I'll give it a crack. JR lives a coupla blocks away from me now up here in Hawke's Bay so would love to get it done then show it to him! Might even consider a matching HYA if I pull off the HCX |

Thank you kindly, Sir! Here's a shot of my work in progress. Not bad for a couple of hours work for a first time-skinner! Only really got the main colour blocks sorted, but working on it! And just for relevance sake - apparently this is on the runway @ Wanganui Attachments:
