Loving Father of the late Bruce, Peter and Suzanne, and Friend of Lynda. Loving Grandpops of Joanne, Matthew and Ben, and Great- Grandpops of William, Amelia and Olivia. We will treasure all the wonderful memories forever. F/S David Noel (Noel) Hepburn NZC439172 Pilot WW2 1943 to 1945. Passed away 14 October 2020 in his 96th year in South Canterbury. Flew Kittyhawks and Corsairs in the Pacific. Noel was on pilot's course 48B. Converted to the P-40 at No. 4 (Fighter) Operational Training Unit, Ohakea 30/7/1944 Converted to the Corsair at CC&TF (course began 19/9/1944) Posted to No. 24 Squadron 26/9/1944 Flew three tours and Transferred to the Reserve A1 26/11/45

Here is Noel on the right with Bryan Cox on the left in July 2018, when Russell Brodie, Ross Brodie and I took Bryan down to Timaru to catch up with Noel. They'd trained together in 1943 on P-40's, and remained lifelong mates. This was the day after Bryan flew the Brodie Tiger Moth. What a top couple of days that was. And brilliant to see Bryan and Noel reminiscing.

I am very sad to announce that I just read on Facebook that long time WONZ member Brent Emett (Brenton on the forum) has passed away after a battle with cancer. My condolences to his father Allan Emett who is also a WONZ fan, and the rest of his family and friends. RIP

Much loved father and father-in-law to Kathy and Ross, Heather and the late Jack, Jeffery and Lavinia, Donna Marie and the late Geoff, Paula and Gavin, and David and Donna. Adored granddad to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Forever loved, never forgotten. A service for Les will be held in the Main Chapel, Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive Henderson, Tuesday 27 October at 12.30pm, followed by private burial.

Jan his wife has his ashes and at Gary's wish, he will have his ashes interred in Wales where he was born.
