CPL (RTD) Vicky Anne Ryalls M87526 STC OPR RNZAF 6 January 1978 until 6 April 1986.Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at her home in Waitati; aged 67 years. Much loved daughter of the late Ian and Elaine, loved sister and sister in law of Pauline and Mike Kiwood, Chris and Jenny, Wendy and Lance, Annie and the late Steve Chapman, and heather Hammond, loved niece and aunty of all of the Ryalls and South families. JONES, Clive Massey. 28 December 1927 - 21 November 2024. Passed away peacefully at the ripe age of 96 (and 11 months) after enjoying his final cup of tea. Dearly loved Husband to the late Doreen. Loving Father to Linda, Grant and Garry. Loving Father-in-law to Jennifer and Susie. Treasured Grandfather of Michelle, Shaun, Samantha, Emma, Laura, Olivia and Marcus and cherished Great-grandfather. A celebrated Royal New Zealand Air Force airframe mechanic and skilled carpenter and joiner, who dedicated his life to building strong foundations both in and out of the home. Una HALL-WEBLEY Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF), The Women's Auxiliary Air Force, WAAF 5324.
On November 22, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family at Glenwood Masonic Hospital, Masterton aged 103. Much loved wife of the late Harry Hall and Athol Webley. Cherished mother of Beverley Duncan (deceased), Trevor, Kevin, and Lorraine Hall. Devoted Nan and Nana of Debbie, Gina; Tom (deceased), Jonty Morison and Great Nan of Josh and Nevaeh. Special thanks to the staff of Glenwood and the amazing Dr Matt Mills for their love and care of Una. Messages to the Hall family may be posted C/- PO Box 460, Masterton. As Una wished a private cremation has been held, a memorial service to celebrate Una's life will be held at a later date.

On 22 November 2024, at age 95 years, Les passed away peacefully at Auckland Hospital and is now in the arms of his Lord. Dearly loved husband of Kath for nearly 75 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Paul, Julie and Larry, Grant and Shea; adored Poppa of Mitch, Bek, Alex, Eden, Brooke, Shea, Grace, Hannah and Emily; and proud great-grandfather of six, with more on the way. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, laughter and faith will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him. A celebration of Les's life will be held at Long Bay Baptist Church, 282 Glenvar Road, Long Bay, at 1pm Thursday 28 November 2024. All are welcome. Rest in peace, Les. CPL (RTD) Maurice James (Jim) Wade W82613 CHEF RNZAF 11 january 1966 until 10 January 1974. On Thursday, 28th November 2024 peacefully at Waikato Hospital surrounded by his family aged 76 years. Much loved husband of Doreen for 54 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Jason, Maree and Johnny Hall. Adored Poppa of Gabby and Xander. A respected brother. A service for Jim will be held at The Hamilton Park Crematorium Chapel, Morrinsville Road, Newstead, Hamilton on Wednesday, the 4th of December 2024 at 11:00 am, followed by cremation. WG CDR (RTD) Noel James Stewart Rodger AFC CVSA S346442 Pilot RNZAF 14 November 1957 until 18 December 1977 and 18 October 1978 until 12 May 1992 passed away Monday 18 November 2024. Noel was a member of 41 SQN and was a Malaya and Vietnam vet. he was also the Pilot of NZ5906 which was hit by gunfire 13 October 1968. Family advise there will not be a funeral service but will be organising a gathering/celebration of life in the not too distant future. His son Guy Rodger maybe contacted on 021 438489. Citation Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air (NY1968): Not available. Flt Lt Rodger served as an RNZAF transport pilot for seven years - with 40 Sqn (DC-6 Flight) 1961-1963, Transport Support Unit 1963-1965, 3 Sqn in 1965, and 41 Sqn (all Bristol Freighter) at Singapore, 1965-1967. His valuable services in this role and particularly with 41 Sqn, were recognised by this award. Citation Air Force Cross (QB1975): Not available. In 1969 Sqn Ldr Rodger completed a conversion course onto Hercules and then flew with 40 Sqn RNZAF. In 1973 he was appointed operations Flt Cdr 40 Sqn, a post he held until 1976. SQN LDR (RTD) Gavin Robert Leckner MBE W81670 ALMOFF RNZAF 7 January 1964 until 6 January 1990, 5 February 1990 to 8 January 1992 and 29 Aug 94 to 16 May 2009. Gavin was a 40 SQN member and was on sorties into Malaya 1967 and 1970, Vietnam 15 November 1970 and 1972 and East Timor with INTERFET 2000. Peacefully on 23rd November 2024. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Helen for 56 years, Beloved father of Erin (deceased), Justin and Kim. Special Grandpa of Erin in Sydney and Sadie in Brisbane. He has worked tirelessly to ensure the maintenance of the Antarctic Support Programme and he has by his friendly disposition and selfless attitude further developed the goodwill and understanding which is a hallmark of the Deep Freeze operation and so important in relationships between the United States and NZ. His devotion to duty and utter dedication to the success of the Deep Freeze operation has drawn high praise from senior military officers and civilian officials of both the United States and NZ. Flt Lt Leckner, by his loyalty and dedication has brought great credit on himself, the RNZAF and his country.
