Does anyone know if the RNZAF (or NZ Army or Navy) had any temporary or permanent presence during the war in the Cook Islands (esp. Rarotonga or Aitutaki where there are airstrips), or in Samoa?
If not based or detached there on these islands, did they at least visit them in the C47's, Catalinas, Sunderlands, bombers or Lodestars or anything?
I know we had bases in Fiji and Tonga, and further up in the Pacific, but was there any NZ presence in the Cooks or Samoa?
