Apparently two holes have opened up in the ground in Albert Park, Auckland. One was caused by a car driving onto the grass and the weight on one of the vents, which are now rotting, causing it to subside. The other hole is also over a vent in what is described as a maze of tunnels under the park, built to shelter Aucklanders against air raids in WWII.
If anyone's in the area, you might get to see an interesting if brief glimpse into the historic shelters.
