great pictures. I understand their new hangar is going to be large enough for a C5! There is a great pod cast lecture series avaliable through the USAF web site.
I like the way they have cut back that F86. Maybe the RNZAF museum could do that with a spare A4.....after a complete Kahu single seat and twin seater have been displayed of course!

I think the P26 was also part of the swap that had the Spitfire mk16 end up in New Zealand until sold to China

I too can confirm that a visit to the National Museum of the USAF at Wright Patterson is an absolute must. I have managed to visit there twice - the last time in October 2006. It took me 2.5 days to get around and photograph their incredible aircraft collection. The lighting is very dim in the display halls which can be challenging to get reasonable photographs of the collection. The photographs taken in this link are superb knowing the difficulty the photographer went through to get them. Upon joining as a Friend of the Museum member you used to receive a sizable book detailing the aircraft in their large collection, a quarterly journal with interesting articles about the aircraft and their crews, along with a calendar each year also depicting a aircraft in the collection each month. Refer www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/There is mention of the aircraft collections at the National Naval Air Museum at Pensacola and the Smithsonian Air and Space Museums at both Washington and at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Centre in Maryland. These museums are also a must to visit if the opportunity arises - they also have superb immaculate restored aircraft collections of many rare types. If visiting Pensacola refer to the National Naval Air Museum Website to coincide a visit with the US Navy Blue Angels practice day display. Refer www.navalaviationmuseum.org/ and www.blueangels.navy.mil/index.htm
