I guess given the rain etc at Masterton the aeroplane did not attend can anyone confirm? Also re the wing walk ?? What aircraft was used did they actually fly ? Just curious as the WOW site suggested this event was a first at Masterton and as most of you know our flying grannie from Blenheim has appeared at Hood and Bill Dittmer in his Tiger has had several top wing passengers also flying at Masterton

According to the Airshow thread the Spit couldn't leave Ohakea due to a 35kt cross wind and the Sunday show got cancelled due to the weather. Bugger.

Thank for the post re BLI Yes a wing walk is a bit of media hype a bit like so called space walks . Recall a US show a few years back where the person started on the top wing at take off and was hanging on the u/cart when landing . Show biz???

Photo of the said wing walk on Saturday At Warbirds over Wanaka last year there was a German couple in a Stearman and she ended up sitting on the leading edge of the lower wing!

There's footage on Youtube somewhere of a lady in the 1920's who climbed out of the passenger cockpit, got down and took a wheel off the plane, took it back to the cockpit, then returned to the undercarriage and replaced the wheel, without dropping her spanner. Those were the days before Health and Safety I guess.
