It was a great display by the Iroquois, showing of it's handling and attributes very well. One day if someone wants to offer joyrides in a Iroquois, I'd be a starter. Shame we didn't get to see the Checkers while were there but there's always Classic Fighters to come. The crowd grew substantially while we were there and there were lots of families about. The car park certainly looked fairly chocker when we headed away. The P40 and Oxford are coming along nicely. There was also a very informative display about our current deployment in Bamiyan province in Afghanistan, it certainly confirmed to me that we need to stay there. The people in Bamiyan have benefited greatly from the efforts of our NZDF personnel and the aid agencies presence there. I also was intrigued to see this book in the Museum's shop - a children's 'reader' book about the Skyhawk. A complement to Don's book for adults. One intriguing paragraph was about "the importance of exercising with our friends, as a nation cannot stand alone". Great stuff. www.flyingbooks.co.nz/books/skyhawk.php

There was a presentation on the NH90 by reps of the company. And free gifts. Next to the RNZAF recruiters, and not far from the Martin jet pack simulator which i thought was great.

Thanks for the photos Baz. That P-40E looks great, not far away from flying by the looks of things. Chewy, do you have photos of the NH90 display? What were they giving away?

The NH industries display was low keyed. They had a company banner and a video presentation. They were giving away stickers of the different models. key holders, ID necklaces, pens and some small thing that i didn't help myself to. One rep was french and the other was ex Air force. The Air Force recruiting give away opens up and turns into a poster of the RNZAF NH90.

Hi Baz 62, just wondering what is your zoom lens that you used on Sunday? It seems to be having a bit of trouble focusing in some of the shots that you took. If it is an autofocus you may want to try taking it off this setting and using the manual forcus as your shots should then all be as sharp as some of your photos. I know when you put them on the web the quality does change and it annoys you whne they do not turn out the way they look on your monitor at home. Hope this may be of some help to you Baz. Cheers Bazza
