They didn't need a GPS.... just follow the stripes from the last application!

Great video good to see it again The aircraft was in fact set up for ag work with a set of components sent over by Fieldair but I think it was a two aircrew operation as against our single pilot ops

Should add it was a two pilot job on all ops not just for the video understand its not now in ag use

I remember Country Calendar did a program about the DC-3 on ag-ops many years ago (mid eighties?). It was filmed around Fieldair's operation out of Gisborne from memory. Would be great to see that again

The Country Calendar team have 3 DVD's available on ag op's Deane. Tiri Manahi in Beaver AZB in 1975, Bob Cranston in DC3 CHV in 1976 and Bruce Thompson in DC3 BKD in 1982. I have the 3 here, contact Saffron by e-mail; saffron.solley@tvnz.co.nzThey are only $120 each!! I also have quite a bit of amatuer video now on DVD that I took while working for Fieldair.
