Folks, In case any of you don't frequent the Britmodeller forum, there's been a really interesting thread discussing some colour pics of 27 Sqn Blenheims that recently came to light in the LIFE image archive. www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62197Makes one wonder whether the same underside colour was applied to the Vildebeests at Seletar?? Anyway, just thought I'd share in case anyone was interested and hadn't seen it.

Very nice photos and indeed interesting to see the blueish-sky colour underneath.

Yes, there was much debate about the actual colour before a consensus largely agreed that it was probably Sky Blue (other options proffered, based on individuals' monitor settings and colour perceptions included Azure Blue, Medium Sea Grey, Sky Grey and even Sky Type S - talk about broad spectrum of options). Interestingly Lucas called out Sky Blue as one of the potential options for the undersides of Vildebeests at Singapore. Unfortunately, we don't have a body of imagery as we do for this particular Blenheim squadron to make more informed guesstimates of the colours applied to 36 and 100 Sqns' airframes.
