I believe there are still issues to be resolved before we see them here . I was told the floor have not stood up to well to simulated operational use , squaddies rifles damage them easily ( new plywood overlays ) , and there have been engine problems too .

Surely these are not new issues that have been picked up by the Kiwis? ? Or are all operational NH.90's worldwide suffering from these issues?

MoD have updated their project acquistions on their website. They still have the first NH90's forecast to be delivered in October. (Note NH-90 #9 is also on the list) www.defence.govt.nz/acquisitions-tenders/current-acquisition-projects/helicopter-capability-nh90.htmlThe forecast delivery dates for the Helicopters are: NZ3301 October 2011 NZ3302 October 2011 NZ3303 April 2012 NZ3304 April 2012 NZ3305 May 2012 NZ3306 May 2012 NZ3307 August 2012 NZ3308 August 2012 NZ3309 (Attrition Airframe) October 2011.

Centre console, between the 2 pilots wrists is a space for more buttons....
I say add a call button for the HCM so you can place your drinks order....
"I need a moccha before the next hot LZ insert.... What about you Skip? anything from the back?"
Speaking of HCM, the CM in the 2nd photo appears to have FLTLT braid on his zoombag.... wouldn't be too many Officer HCM's would there? I've seen 1 before, in the press releases of the A109, a senior bod of the Helicopter Transition Unit was a SQNLDR HCM.

It is actually the pilot after a cutty in the mess at lunchtime which has caused a sudden not very nice reaction.

You'd think that the RNZAF would've installed the FLIR because it wouldn't been that expensive??? Considering the total package. Bureaucrats & bean counters.

I'm puzzled? Can someone please explain the unpainted patches on the fuselage as depicted in these photographs?

I would say that they are maybe stress points or points of interest thats easier to keep a watch on without full paint. If so it might only be for the first 100 hrs or so ? Mr Mcfly, your turn with the correct answer.
