Nice photos Bruce.
I had arranged to fly down to Matamata today to see this event, but the wings fell off that one.

Great photos Bruce and good to bump into a couple of forumites there too. Couple of shots I took and hopefully different from Bruce's locations. Compare noses? Lots of interest from the word go. Overview from other side. P-40 taking off. Cheers.

Thanks for the pics. A good turn out by looks of things. Not a Ford person myself but I will admit that the Mustang is a good looking car.

The 3 bladed titan just looks wrong.... dropped the ball there. And what's with "Miss Behaving" having no identifable rego markings, I'd thought even with an approved warbird scheme you'd need something to identify the plane. Although having the a bigger prop looks way better than the standard pokie blades on the rotax.
Great pix btw...

Great photos, thanks guys. What a shame this event wasn't more widely advertised properly, if I'd realised proper warbirds would be appearing as well as the Titan Mustangs I might have gone along for a look.
The front end of all Titan Mustangs looks wrong anyway sqwark2k so i don't see anything wrong with the three bladed prop. In fact having seen that aircraft up close I think it's the best looking of the type I have seen yet.
You can get dispensation so as not to have to carry the registration I believe, many warbirds fly without the ZK- markings. The first to do so was Simon Spencer-Bower's Tiger Moth that was restored by the RNZAF Museum Moth Doctors back in the 1980's, so it's nothing new.

Only aircraft intending to fly overseas are required to have the ZK-
However I'm surprised there aren't marking in the case of the Titan. Nice looking and fun it may be but at the end of the day it is "only" an aircraft with no historical significance attached that would warrant flying incognito.

I'm fairly Certain "Miss Behavin" has a 4 inch high rego under the tailplane. "Hurry Home Honey" does as well.

I'm gutted i missed this, i often see titan mustangs flying over work in matamata. I happened to be plane spotting at ardmore on the way home from Auckland and watched the p-40, harvard and one of the titan mustangs return. There was an L-39 doing circuits too, shit that thing sounded awesome!
