Apparantely there is a guy in Blenheim that is looking at buying the said Kingston flyer and wants to run it between Blenheim and Kaikoura. Take it would be a win win situation to get people to go do the Whale Watch thing, so maybe a CHCH to Kaikoura thing would be better as with CHCH being an international gateway rather than blenheim. Maybe the people that own and run Whale Watch can help with the investment. Some modern new carriages would be a must for the winter though.

Modern carriages would destroy some of the ambience of the experience. It needs to be marketed as a "trip back in time" Some vintage buses to transport the punters from the station to the dock in South Bay would also add to it. Dress the staff in period costumes as well.
