I know another young keen forum member who was also looking desperately for a flight down too from Auckland/Ardmore. If anyone can help either JP or the other member it would be appreciated. Let me know if you can help.

Hi all-
I know I've got a bad habit of doing this (requesting a passage to airshows at the last minute), but my planned ride to Omaka has fallen through.
I have pre planned accommodation down there, but still need a seat from Auckland. If anyone has one going, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll pay my way!

There seems to almost be enough people here asking for a spare seat for you to maybe hire an aeroclub aeroplane and fly down together.
By the way i have merged another similar thread into this one to keep the requests for seats all in one place.

I have at least one heading Northwards from Mandeville in the Dragonfly, not much help to folks in the North but S Island folk I might be able to help. Heading up Thursday and back on Monday but probably cant help with a return leg.

I will be driving (yes, terrible) from Christchurch to Blenheim on Friday about 10am and will have one or possibly two spare seats.
Leasurely ride, comfy seats, great company.
Coming back Sunday.

Is there anyone who is flying or driving from Auckland to the Omaka airshow who has a spare seat for a very keen young member of the forum, Ryan Daum (Stingray)? His boss gave him leave very late and though he can now go to the airshow he's really disappointed that most of the options are taken and he may not be able to get there. If someone can give Ryan a lift by air or car he'd be thrilled. He has accommodation sorted, and also has a probable ride home too. He just needs to get there.
I know it's late in the day but he's a great enthusiast, a valued member of this forum and a really knowledgable and experienced aviator (he's 18 and began flying when he was about 11 from memory). He'd be great company on the trip. It would be awesome if someone can help him out. If you can, text me on 021 122 1918 and I will pass on your details to him asap.
