That Bristol shot is a cracker .The blurred background really gives the impression its traveling much faster than it really was . Excellent shots all round Colin ( and despite the concern at the time , I'd say that the overcast weather actually adds a bit of " mood " to many of the photos ) . Brilliant stuff ;D

This video is a little shakey in places.Managed to hold it steady on the pass with the gear and flaps down.

Beauty pics and videos guys, cheers! Colin, awesome photos as usual. The lady in the back of the amphibious looking German vehicle has her helmet on backwards? Must be in retreat

Something quite spiritual about this photo of Doug's spitfire at Omaka. Perhaps 'the man' was looking down...? (RNZAF Official)

That's what she said.
O, really. That's what Rachel just said. I would love a poster of that.

Looks like it was a great show. Sorry I couldn't make it this year. I didn't realize that TVAL had already added another Albatros to their collection, although I knew that would happen at some point. Looks like the Bristol has been repainted/recovered too.

Hi Russ, that Albatross was built for Kermit Weeks and will be heading your way soon I think. He flew it throughout the airshow and it was such a beautiful sight to see.

Looks like the Bristol has been repainted/recovered too. You'll have to come for the 2013 show just to see how they top the V2 Rocket!! The Bristol Fighter that was there this year I don't thiunk was the same one as last year. If I recall correctly it currently has a more modern engine installed temporarily.

How many Bristol Fighters are there in NZ then? I thought there was the grey replica in the AHC and the genuine one at Masterton. Was this the replica, repainted?

There are two in NZ (ZK-JNU which is the replica and ZK-BRI which is the orginal) and yes it's the replica repainted

Thanks. I was thinking at the show that I was finally seeing the original in the air. Oh well. One day. It did look really cool, especailly with the Sopwith Triplane in company.
