Great shots Gavin, love the shots of the Corsair with that vapour on the tops of the wings.

I meant to add that the shots looking from the tower down onto the cockpits are such a brilliant and unusual angle. They are really neat, the eye of Gog angle gives a whole new perspective.
Anf I agree with Baz, the shots of the Corsairs with vapour are wonderful. That display was the most vapour I personally have seen forming around an aircraft and on that display i wasn't filming which ripped my kilt as it looked really different. Like it's about to disappear into another dimension.

Great shots Gavin, love the shots of the Corsair with that vapour on the tops of the wings. Was a great sight, and have never seen that before from the Corsair. The first pass on Sunday was great, man and machine as one that's for sure.

Wonderful photos Gavin, thank you. My favourite is the P-40 cockpit shot of Stu Goldspink from above ... something totally different, just when you think you've seen everything!!
The head-on Corsair engine/prop shot is pretty powerful too!

Cheers Chris Gee Yes I got my very first issue yesterday. I was getting both Pacific Wings and Australian Aviation each month but was finding Pacific Wings was getting a bit much to fork out the $9 or so. kiwi flyer is a well worth replacement for me.

Great air to airs Gavin. Do you ever get tempted to photoshop out the ugly buildings on the ground like that big warehouse that detracts a bit? It's otherwise a super shot of all the triplanes.

Interesting. I periodically re-read issues of interest of 'Pacific Wings' from the 80's and 90's when it was still 'NZ Wings', and overall feel a bit that it isn't quite the magazine it used to be (a bit like watching old and new 'Simpsons' episodes!) I only buy NZ aviation mags on an interesting issue basis at the moment. I get Aero Australia regularly but find Australian Aviation a bit dry as a regular read.

Loved the one with the DR.1 taxiing in with the big meaty WW2 aircraft behind, gives you an idea of its size

Sometimes its a matter of taking the good with the bad, and I have thought if it but it all takes time so might get around to it one day. The shots below were taken in the days leading up to the show.
