Does anyone have any knowledge concerning the recruiting offices and depots used by the RNZAF in and post ww2.
I recall the one in Auckland in Airdale street (1960s) which just by the way was the United States Headquarters of their Naval Shore Patrol

In WWII all the main centres had one as a dedicated office usually in their Territorial office etc, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, etc. Also most smaller towns had recruiting forms in their local Post Office which you filled in and sent away, but often the rural people had to travel to a town for the interviews or await a touring recruiter to visit their nearest town.
Hamilton's office was in a room in the old Post Office I believe, which is now the ArtPost building in Victoria Street.
