I think I'm a little out of the loop, but what sort of information were you after exactly?
I wasn't even aware that there was a new painting facility at Hamilton.

Sounds like a good facility for Hamilton, but won't they already have plenty of competition from Air New Zealand Engineering as far as painting facilities are concerned?

Air New Zealand Engineering recently had huge problems filling 10 positions for short term paint work they also do not do any private type aircraft work there is also no facility like what they are building in hamiliton in Australia that will do private work only half arsed hangars or sheds with no correct setups for paint work on aircraft that includes Qantas who has next to nothing.

All good then - unless they run into issues finding staff to operate the facility, like Air New Zealand did.

So ALG does not want to front up accommodation costs it wants to do things at cheapest cost it can.

Sigh....no its means that I am qualified to work there, holding an NZQA Cert in Aircraft Engineering (Aircraft Painting) would do that. And I work with other people who also hold one. You seem to ave a problem with ALG so why not take it up with them instead of asking around these boards.

No not at all, I don't work there or for AirNZ. In fact I don't work at anything to do with aircraft painting.

Is there any reason why this thread is in the Experimental Aircraft section? Do they only paint experimental aeroplanes?
