I have been asked by someone for contact details of Noel Kinvig who apparently wrote the book “Beyond the Cabbage Tree”, and who was a topdressing pilot I'm told. Does anyone here know him and how to get in touch with him please? If you do, can you please PM the details to me?
Thanks.

Yes, Noel was an ag pilot in the Wairarapa in the '60s. He is frequently mentioned in Paul Legg's books
Anyone read Noel's book? Sounds interesting - available from Amazon for 40-something quid!

Allan
I associate him with Fieldair and Beavers but wouldn't be sure. He is definitely a Mastertonian, learnt at WRAC late '50s.

Pretty sure not.
He moved to Picton (somehow think connected with floatplanes) and I'm sure someone told me he passed away a couple of years ago.
Clive Thorne's around, about and large as life. Not many others left.

I want to read the rest - see you can get it here in NZ from www.fishpond.co.nz for a hundred bucks! It was just getting to the best bit eh? Spoke to Graham Leach today and yes, you're right, Noel was at Air Contracts for a while.

Hi Tom, I have e-mailed you with Neville Worsley's phone number. Nev was in Masterton with Air Contracts and Fieldair around the time Noel was there. Noel was in NZ a few weeks back and I believe it is Hungary where he lives. Unfortunately, I have had no reply to e-mails I have sent to the address on the PPRUNE forum. Hope Nev is able to help.

As noted elsewhere, I "scored" the book for my recent birthday. His ag experiences in NZ are great reading but unfortunately not enough of them for my liking, as he was only active for a few years here before heading overseas.
Great read, none-the-less
