I have a photograph of a number of Airmen taken in Winnipeg, Canada in 1943 after they had recorded messages to be sent back to NZ. How would one start trying to find if the messages had been retained and where?

yes I will locate. My dad was at Brandon about March to Sept 1944.
have you contacted the Museum at Brandon - its for all the Empire Training Plan.

No, TBH I just started working out where my Granddad got too back then. He finished his training at the end of the war so I assume he was there in 1944 also.
I know he shipped out to Canada and trained as Nav/BA on Anson's. He then went to Wigtown in Scotland and then the Isle of Mann. He was then posted to the Pacific (Dak's) after VE day and the Japanese surrendered before he got there so he shipped home.
