The 747 flight deck, can you walk into that North West one?

That is the North West 747 flight deck. I have many many more pictures, especially of their Udvar Hazy hangar.
What is interesting is that a former Chief Flight Engineer for Air New Zealand said that Air New Zealands 747 200's Flight Engineer panel was set out with all the engine instruments on the opposite side of the panel.
Looks very different from the Boeing 747 400 I used to fly!

Very cool, I like the way they have powered the lights up.

Great pics thanks. Looks very much like I remember, but the 747 cockpit/nose section is certainly a new addition. Keep em coming, the photos in the other threads are way cool too.

Hey for those who are interested in the National Air And Space Museum's amazing collection, I highly recommend you download and listen to the great series Warbird Radio has running to mark 100 Years of Naval Aviation. Episodes One and two are up here on their site and the third and last epsiode will be as soon as it airs. www.warbirdradio.com/shows/warbird-radio-presents/You have to log in as a member to download from the archives but it's free and no hassle at all. These episodes have Matt Jolly interviewing the collection manager and they wander around talking about the history of the naval aircraft in the museum. Episode One covers US aircraft, episode two covers the amazing Japanese collection. And episode three will cover the restoration and stored collection.
