Awesome photos and a stunning colection. The P-38 in wartime paint looks so much cooler than the over-shined others, but at least they're all well cared for. Nice to see the Hurricane and Lysander getting a feature too.

Nice to see the Hurricane and Lysander getting a feature too. On a similar note I can't help but notice how generically marked some of the aircraft are (A-6, F-105, Hurricane, Corsair etc). No unit markings, nose art or anything that gives an individual airframe more of an identity and a story to tell. The place has been on my list to see for the last twenty years or so.

What an amazing collection they have there; and it's good to see types like the Thunderchief and Intruder being preserved for all to see, amongst the more popular and well known types. Man, looking at all the duct work, they must have some pretty amazing air conditioning plant in that building.

Yeah now we're talking! Definitely have to go there when I go to the US. I have a book that tells the story about "Excalibur" the red P51B Mustang. It flew across the North Pole, had a "wet" wing for fuel among other improvements. The book then went into a lot of detail about the restoration (which was before this facility was built)including all the corrosion they had to deal with in the wing(hang over from the wet wing fuel system.
