70th Anniversary of No. 3 Squadron ATC

This year is the 70th Anniversary of No. 3 (Auckland City) Squadron Air Training Corps, and as such they are holding a number of events to celebrate this milestone.

On the evening of the 10th September they are holding a formal Cocktail Function on for all ex Officers, ex cadets, ex Support Committee members, and for current Officers and Support Committee members, and officers from other Squadrons.

The function will be hosted in the new MOTAT Aviation Display Hall, due for completion in September.

During the day on the 10th September, the Squadron will host an Open Day at the Squadron Headquarters at Unitec on Carrington Road, Mt Albert between 1000hours and 1400 hours.

The following weekend is the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and it is fitting that the Air Training Corps celebrates its 70th Anniversary in conjunction with the commemorations for the Battle of Britain. Therefore there will be a parade on the 18th September at the Auckland Cenotaph involving all seven of the Auckland Units.

They would love to see as many ex cadets and officers as possible at these events, in order to celebrate a truly exceptional achievement.

They will also be unveiling the new Unit Commander Honours Board, which is still being clarified .Detailed below the data they have to date. Please, let them know if you can fill in any of the gaps, or if they have any of the data incorrect.
