First time I've been on such a forum so apologies for any errors in etiquette. My late father served overseas with the RCAF from 1943 to 1945. In his Pilot's Flying Log Book I have a photo of an aircraft. On the back my dad has written. Darky Saffe N.Z. 7(P) AFU Jan 44. My father was at 7 Pilots Advanced Flying Unit in Peterborough England from December 1943 until the end of February 1944. From the photo and the entries in my dad's Log Book I believe the aircraft is a Master II. If any of this ring's a bell I'd be glad to hear from you, forward you a scanned copy of the photo etc. I have a second photo - perhaps taken the same day. On the back it says Darky Saffe, Rocky Maddford Jan 44 - but no indication whether Maddford was from New Zealand or elsewhere. TIA for any assistance.
