Well at the end of the day France wanted it more and go to the final......well done. Wales although dissappointed have one more game a play off for third. They have done better than South Africa and that says something .
AB's tonight and I am confident they will go all the way......no if's about it.
Also big well done to the Blackcaps thrashing Zimbabwe in the first T20 by 10 wkts. Brendon McCullum showed the class he is.
GO THE AB'S

Well done to the New Zealand All Blacks!!!
That was the best match of the whole tournament in my opinion. Brilliant to see our boys finally make it to the final. Extatic!!

Just like to put my 2 cents in. Aaron Cruden, you deserve a big thumbs up, with little preparation you stepped up to some pretty big shoes to fill and played bloody fantastically, he certainly didn't do his All Black career any harm last night or the game before. Even the hes only 79kg he did his bit in defence. Kaino, Jane, Cruden, Mealamu, Mccaw, Dagg, Kahui and Weepu were the stand out players to me. Kahui smoking Quad Cooper twice, quite frankly was just legend. Next week the Frenchies. Can't wait to see the Frogs get squished beneath the almighty All Black boot, as they are the last thing standing in the way of the great All Black charge for the Webb Ellis Cup!
Good luck boys!

Great result from a good team effort across the park, both forwards and backs in attack and defence.
Don't write off France though, they have been our bogey team in the past, so plenty of motivation for the ABs and little chance of complacency. Take it to them up front, play at pace and above all convert all chances at scoring. In Parra they have a great goal kicker and we need to ensure we do the same, however the points come.

I think it was amazing to see that they had over 60,000 people packed into Eden Park and almost all of them were wearing black. Awesome.

Good morning all......... We the Rugby World Cup 2011 was 4 years in the making and waiting and the last weekend is here. Firstly a big thanks to Martin Snedden for his management and promotion of the event,he has done a fantastic job and put New Zealand on the map. A big thanks must also go out to everyone who has supported all the games and made this event the great event it has been. Everyday I go for a walk or drive around town I am still impressed by the flags on cars and support for differant teams in there front yards(mainly AB's)........the Cup has both stirred a great spirit of togetherness. Ok anyway tonight......... Aust vs Wales......battle for 3rd and 4th well I am going for Aust(Aussie Aussie Aussie)by 10 points. Wales have without doubt been a star team and are young and over the next few years will be a force. Aust well they are a force but have struggled with injuries this tournament and our friend Quade Cooper has really had a shocker of a tournament. Not since Shane Warne have I seen the NZ sporting public dislike a Aussie sportsman so much. The word "form" has been missing for him and I beleive he has all the goods as he showed in Super rugby this year.
The Final.......well real simple France are unpredictable but I have complete faith the AB's all round game is far too strong for anything the French could muster. My pick AB's by 20 plus points.
Anyway thank you to everyone for adding to this thread and getting in behind our team....they deserve this and so does the whole of New Zealand.....be brave be strong.
GO THE AB'S..............................

Oh just one more NZ team doing well.....The Blackcaps......well done last night.....and a big well done to Rob Nicol 100 on debut...Fantastic....and young Doug Bracewell 3 wkts with the ball on debut as well. Martin Guptill got his 3rd 50 in three games. This team is on the up and up and will be a force to be watched and I will be at Napier for the test vs Zimbabwe at the end on Jan plus the Test vs South Africa at the Basin....so bring it on!

That part, very well said. Oh, Quade Cooper is a Kiwi (just saying). Like Russel Crowe, you can have him back

Scrappy game tonight, sad to see Wales not manage to topple Aussie but I'm relieved the crowds had the grace to applaud Cooper at the end. The booing was getting old real quick.
Roll on Sunday!!

Agreed, the booing of Cooper was getting ridiculous. Glad to see him clapped off the field but sad that it was in such unfortunate circumstances for him.
Aussie deserved to win last night, the played in patches of good rugby whereas I think in the second half Wales had started to run out of ideas.
Sunday will be massive, the ABs have to start well, score first and keep the foot on the throat of the French for 80 minutes. Take no prisoners boys!!!

Was lucky enough to be taken to last night's game by Telecom. Transport to and from, unlimited drinks, posh meal, private box and photo with trophy. Don't ask me why I got selected as I would have thought others had bigger accounts but certainly not complaining. Lord Mayor etc as will be watching at local or home tomorrow night. Was pleased we gave Cooper a decent send off. The whole thing was right over the top but not as bad as the nonsense about French dirty play in Friday's Herald. Some truth, some B/S but what was the point? Good to see the Black Caps doing OK but average competition. We appear to have some good seam bowler options coming through but no replacement in sight for Daniel. Go the AB's!

Who was the Australian player that did the no arms tackle on Shane Williams sending him cartwheeling off the field and onto his head? That was a brutal tackle and considering Sonny Bill Williams was sent off last week for a much lesser no-arm tackle I'm surprised the referee did nothing about it.
