My mate Andy Moreland is on the committee for an upcoming airshow at Waharoa Aerodrome, Matamata, on the 3rd and 4th of March 2012.
He says it is being run by the Waharoa Aero Club, and and they are expecting lots of aircraft from all around to attend, but he said it will mainly be light aircraft and homebuilds rather than the more appealling heavy metal stuff.
He says there will also be many military vehicles form the collectors clubs, and re-enactors who will be having a battle which may involve Tiger Moths flour bombing them.
I never realised by Andy says Waharoa has a council-run camping ground with cabins and and hook ups for campers, and tent sites for anyone who wants to stay over the weekend.
He said anyone who wants to get involved or find out more should countact Peter Ryan on (07) 888 3869 or 0274 942 537.
I think they'd appreciate hearing from pilots wanting to fly in, or take part, etc.
