Screened last night (28th September) on the History Channel. Anyone see it?
Even included an ad for Doug Brown's new book: Wine, Women and Song! ;D
Well worth a watch. Mostly colour footage that deals with (mostly) the 8th Airforce B-17, P-47 and P-51 operations. Cameos from RAF Lancasters and the Luftwaffe (with very early Bf-109). Runs for 2 hours.
The preamble from Skywatch: "Feel the fear and exhilaration of a battle 9000m in the air. Travel with five veterans on some of the most deadly aerial missions of the war". Narrated by Rob Lowe.

Was it all newly discovered film? Or loads of clips from The Memphis Belle (1944) and other famous coloured films??

There was some "Belle" footage but also a lot that I have never seen before.
