I joined the RNZAF in January 1989. Fifteen years later I had lost track of most of my recruit course mates, and the memory of those amaziing three months at GSTS were beginning to fade. So I set about writing down what I could rememebr, and getting in touch with others from the R1.89 course. I received much enthusiasm and many of the guys and girls sent in memories and photos. So I made up a website which has been a combined effort between all of us. I doubt it is of much interest to anyone who hasn't done the Recruit Course, but I thought I'd post the link anyway, one or two R1/89er's might see it and get in touch. www.rnzaf.org.nz

AvTech, other than training at Woodbourne/Wigram spent all my time at Ohakea. Exception was 4 months at Venegono, Italy training on Macchi instruction. Served on 14, TMCC, AvMs and AMS at Ohakea. Also did a stint on secondment to PTS while at Wigram and teh Wigram museum.

Nice website, Talon. Even though it's not relevant to myself, it's nicely laid out.
Good on ya,
Cheers TNZ
