Fantastic pictures, thanks for posting them. My father trained in Canada so its interesting to see what it may have been like for him. Are these pics from your family?

Frem memory (his logbooks) Banff (correct spelling?) was one of the bases. I can narrow it down later on...

Jonesy, I have never heard of a base in Banff,although Banff does exist. It will be a good one to try and figure out.

Great pics, my Granddad was there, like 100's of others I guess. Wonder if my Nan still has his log books? Hmmmm.

Banff was and is a railway stop in the top of the Rocky Mountains. They would stop there for the train to refuel I believe. I don't believe there was ever an Air Force station there though.
Perhaps you're thinking of RAF Banff, a Coastal Command station in Scotland, Nelson?

I must look a bit closer at his logbook entry, didnt really specify UK/Canada, maybe if I backtrack his entries in a more logical fashion.
