My first posting here and I thought I'd give you a smattering of my favourite images from 2011, taken primarily at airshows in the UK and the UAE.

The sun setting on the Turkish Stars at Al Ain
In January, 55(R) Sqn saw the Dominie out of RAF service. To mark the occasion a six-ship formation of the type was flown. This is the practice.
Three of the six Dominies fly down the RAF Cranwell runway before performing a run and break
Dunsfold Wings & Wheels 2011 - the home of Hawker - and a formation from two of the company's iconic products, the Sea Fury and Hunter.
The six Dominies taxi back after completing their final flight as RAF assets.
The Saudi Hawks taxi in at Al Ain after performing.
The Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Dunsfold

The most jaw-dropping display I saw in 2011. The C-27J Spartan from Italy's RSV. It was looped and rolled!!! :shock:

XIII(B) Sqn surrendered its Tornado GR4s in May. This was at the squadron's disbandment ceremony.

Cotswold Airshow 2011 marked the 60th anniversary of the Hawker Hunter. Seven examples were flown in formation and they can be seen here taxying back afterwards.
