It followed a Hercules crew flying to Antarctica, and also a Corporal WAAF Comms girl down there. It was pretty good, interesting seeing the operations down there. They also talked to some US personnel there. They followed the last few days of the season because the runway was beginning to melt.

Missing an "Airforce" programme is a serious offence and could lead to expulsion from this forum! just kidding, I missed it as well

I thought it was one of the better programs in the series.
Overall I must admit that I have been a bit disappointed with the series, but maybe it's just me having high expectations.

I like the series most of the time...but the rock music annoys me, cheapens the whole atmosphere.

I agree it seems to be aiming at the lower common denominator, as with all documentary on NZ TV these days, all quick bytes and no real substance. Great to see the RNZAF in the limelight in a positive way, but older documentaries from the 1980's and 90's on the RNZAF such as that on the Red Checkers or on Kiwi Red, had so much more depth and explanation in them. If it were me I'd have insisted the time slot was 60 minutes rather than 30.
I'd give the series 7.5/10, excellent to see it on, but could have been a little better.
I am looking forward to the one on the Unknown Warrior's return.

Wouldnt mind betting that the series was reshuffled to put the Unknown Warrior episode on ANZAC Day, which would be entirely appropriate.
