Where was this blue sky? Nice photos, the last one in the first set with the flags is lovely.

My best mate and I were sitting on the verandah of the National Hotel in town having a quick beer with some old fiends we'd bumped into after the Armistice ceremony and before shotting back up to the rugby grounds, and we spotted these guys coming down. Great to see, they have been scheduled several times in past years and either had to cancel because of operational deployments or weather.
The weather was great yesterday, just as it was on Friday, I am a bit red now with too much sun. Damn sunscreen never seems to work.

Was there only 2 chutes for the team? I thought the team was 4-5 strong? Dropped by a "Fly My Sky" BN2 Islander launched from Whenuapai and then collected by same BN2 from Matamata for trip home.

You can hear those Islanders out at night over the radio whilst cruising up and down with the post. Black ops. No stealth though  |
