I have had an interesting discussion with David Duxbury this weekend regarding US Navy codewords used in the Pacific campaign in WWII and therefore also used by the RNZAF squadrons that came under US Navy control in that theatre of war.
He kindly pointed me to this website with all the code words and their meanings:
