I'm in the finishing stages of building a 1/48 scale TA-4K Skyhawk with the Kahu upgrade. I need to find a photo of the aerial that is on the underside of the starboard wind tip (not the ECM pod) so I can get its shape and position correct.
Hope someone can help.
Cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce, I hope we get a chance to see the completed model please? I remember how excellent your model of Bryan Cox's Corsair was.

The antenna in question was the ILS Marker Beacon antenna. I have photos of it at home so will post when I'm back tomorrow. I'm pretty sure Calum's A-4 Alley will have one as well in the walk around section.
Out of interest that photo above is mine! I took it on a flight from RAAF Richmond to Nowra in October 1991 when we were returning from an airshow. The original was a slide which I lent to NZ Wings in 1995 and never got back! We also used it to produce hundreds of posters at Nowra for sale at airshows.

I'll have a look through my collection as well. I did a pretty detailed walk around when I was at CPE, before the last A4 left Ohakea.

Awesome that's just what I needed! Luckily the antenna I had already scratch built looks just like it so no extra work needed Will hopefully have it done by Xmas and an article about it to follow. Cheers Bruce
