On the 6th of May 1943 Sqn Ldr Mike Herrick and Flt Lt Sholto Duncan shared a kill of a Zero whilst escorting a Hudson NZ2040.
Does anyone know the serial numbers of the two P-40K's that they were flying that day please?

I tried looking up the serials in Chris Rugges book Air-To-Air and got no luck there,I'm sure you tried there also.perhaps the only way would be the actual pilots' logbooks ,where ever they may be. Damon

Not exactly the P-40 serial numbers you are looking for, however not a bad photo anyway and featuring SQNLDR Mike Herrick... Photo Caption - Window display. "DEATH TO ZEROS! Some of the Royal New Zealand Air Force fighter pilots who recently shot down sixteen Japanese Zeros in the Pacific." Squadron Leader M. J. Herrick, Flight Lieutenant E. H. Brown, Flight Lieutenant J. A. Oldfield, Flying Officer M. R. Clarke and 14 Squadron P-40 Kittyhawk HQ-A in view. (Photo Air Force Museum)
