As you can imagine, because I have been planning the Wings Over New Zealand Show for a few months now, I already have a long and formidable list of people and organisations that i hope and plan to contact for interviews and show features. However I am sure there are lots of interesting folk out there who I have not yet even considered, so if you know of someone or something that you'd like to hear featured in a future show, please submit your ideas and suggestions here, so i can add them to the list. If you happen to have personal contact details that would help me follow up the ideas, please send them to me via email at dave_daasnz@hotmail.com
Thanks everyone.

I have a few suggestions, if I may be so bold: Wal Denholm, Gene DeMarco, Jay McIntyre, Tim Sullivan, Frank Parker, Hallett Griffin, "Moeggo" (regarding Wingnut Wings), Graham Orphan, John King, Alan Beck, Ray Mulqueen, anyone with a connection to Fletchers

How about getting an ex Chief of Air Force/Air Staff from the last decade or so? AVM Lintott?

Thanks for the suggestions that are coming through, many of those suggested are already on the list, others I will add. Bruce, you are already on the list and I will contact you soonish about a show mate. I am glad to hear you sound to be keen. Fletchers? Will that subject appeal to an audience? (ducks for cover )

Of course it will Dave, they are doing most of the Christchurch rebuild and they have been building houses for years!

Fletchers? Will that subject appeal to an audience? (ducks for cover ) I found the recent Plane Crazy Down Under episode (mainly) about Ag flying very interesting! A general note, try to make sure there is enough context for general (perhaps international) aviation fans to understand what is going on. So in a talk about Fletchers, for instance, a few sentences on what is 'topdressing', why is it important in NZ etc. No great essay required, just a bit of a stear.

Darren, I do plan to do a full show on Betsy but if you take a look there is already Geoff's talk from the forum meet going up very soon too.
Adzze, that'll be a very short show. ;D

How about someone from Rescue Co-ordination Centre New Zealand, and what aviation assets they make use of? RNZAF and others. We tend to hear about a Herc going down to help the Sparta, what else goes on that is lower profile?

Yes that is a great idea there Errol and one I would like to explore.
Some of the ideas comiong forward here are ones I have not previously considered, and so if you have any idea how to contact the right people in various organisations or the individuals being suggested, please do email the details to me and a bit of background on them as I might not personally know them all.
Of course there's already a huge number of people on my planned list and getting to all the ideas will take a lot of time and money so I ask you all to be patient, but keep the ideas coming.
An update on an upcoming show, with Gavin Conroy, we are now going to record that show early in the new year hopefully. Christmas has intervened. I hope to do a few more recordings also around that time with some people in Auckland. In the meantime over the next few days i will try to get the remaining Forum Meet recordings edited and up online too. Stay tuned.

Just an update of what is currently on the horizon for the show: Still to come from the older recordings I plan to put up the audio of Bryan Cox's talk as guest speaker for my 2004 website launch. I am now unsure whether to add Colin Murray's talk from the 2011 Forum Meet and Veterans Day because - and not many people know this - my camera was suffering some serious issues at the time which only after the recordings were fully discovered, and the rectification was $2,300 later... so now looking again at the tape there are some audio issues at the begiining. I might have to trim it down - it was a long talk anyway, as many will recall interupted in the middle by the ambulance coming so I will see what I can do with that recording. Planned shows that will be recorded soon in late December and into January include: - Gavin Conroy on aerial photography, his book and other projects - Bruce Cooke on designing and building the Avian Adventurer, and other projects - Jim Mungall (Shamus) on RNZAF Hawker Hinds Those are confirmed upcoming shows. I have also approached about seven other individuals to try to line up a few more shows over December-January-February too. If they agree, we will have some shows that involve collecting aeroplanes, modelling, photography, history, wartime flying and more. Keep the ideas rolling in everyone. And please keep listening to the shows and placing feedback.

Dave, have you got Peter Wheeler on the list to talk about the NZBCA and his books?
Doug and Hamish Brown?

I already have Peter on the list, I hope he'll be keen.
Doug and Hamish are good ideas.
To update the above, Bruce's show is now available. I'll be seeing Jim on the 10th of the month. Gavin's will be recorded a few days after that.
I also have lined up: - Rex Bunn about the Air Training Corps book 'Kings Crew' to be done later in the month when he visits - Dave Johnson on model making - Anthony Galbraith on his models and his Auster project
So a few good stories to come in the next few weeks.

David Vincent of Vincent Aviation? Didn't he import one of the Daks as well? Pardon my ignorance. I know more of his vintage truck activities.
