This thread is for Episode 7 of the WONZ Show, featuring Alan Peart, WWII RNZAF Spitfire ace, who was one of the guest speakers at the 14th of May 2011 Wings Over New Zealand Forum Meet and Veterans Day here in Cambridge. This is a recording made during the event, and is one of several from that day which will feature as WONZ Show episodes so those who could not make it on the day get to hear the various talks, and those who did can relive the day. The show can be found here: www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/WONZShow/2011/12/episode-seven-alan-peart-dfc/Please write any comments, queries, critiques and complaints here in this thread. Thanks. I hope you enjoy the show.

What fascinating tales Alan Peart had to tell. It just reinforces how important it is to get these sorts of WW2 vets and others onto tape while we have the opportunity. Well done Dave.

Thanks Ken. Alan is a fascinating man. If you have not yet read his book, "From North Africa To The Arakan", make a point of doing so as it is really excellent, as is Bryan Young's "The Beckoning Skies." Bryan was in the same squadron at Alan so the two books compliment each other but are different enough not to be repetitive. Both books are among my favourite autobiographies.
