I bought a copy of this print a couple of weeks ago and went 'round to pick it up from the artist (and seller) Brett, it is a beautiful picture. I was so impressed by Brett's paintings (and pencil drawings) I enquired about getting an original and the result is that Brett is currently doing a painting based on photo in my collection which I have always thought would make a great painting ;D. This is the photo............  .........and the progress on the painting can be seen on this link, kiwimotorart.blogspot.com/ , it's going to be awesome.  After this I've asked him to do another for me (which I will reveal at a later date  )  |

Woo Hoo, the Solent painting is finished. ;D ;D It's going to look sooo cool on my wall. This is what end result looks like (photo borrowed from the artists listing on Trade Me for prints).  And once again here is the original photo that inspired the painting. Very nice. But I was expecting to see it in colour. Hi Dave, it's not very clear in the photo but the painting does have some subtle colour (i.e the lights in the background and the stripe is blue). |
