Hi all, I'm in the process of sorting out all my excess gear at home and getting rid of whats surplus, before crossing the ditch. Now I've got a Mk76 (or BDU-33) practice bomb that I've used as a doorstop on the bedroom door, great for keeping the kids out when we "needed to" ha ha ha..... Its one that somehow ended up in my flat while I was on 2 Sqn, and as much as I'd like to keep it as a momento I think I'll chuck it on trademe. Anyhoo, a couple of questions: It LOOKS like a bomb, FEELS like a bomb and for the untrained eye IS a bomb. ;D So would the local bomb squaddies take a dim view of this being on the market? I'm tempted to pop down and ask them, but concerned they may take it off me! If I can sell it what would be a reasonable reserve to put on it? Interested to hear what you fellow hoarders of militaria might think...

So long as you clearly state what it is and that the spotting charge has been removed and it contains no explosive material you should be OK. No different to the dummy 20mm rounds you see on Trade Me occasionally.
Where is Oz are you off to Jonesy?

Cheers for that! Theres a couple of lurkers here that reside over there so at some stage maybe a meet & greet might be on the cards to set up a WONZ Perth chapter...
