Found this last week,a great little film. Living in Ireland I started to take an interest in how this country dealt with what they called 'The Emergency'(WW2). They were neutral here, although one 'side' got a lot more support than the other! If you go to the 'links' page in the following link, there is a list of aircraft which landed/crashed in/off Ireland during the War,and I hope to do a bit of hill-walking and go to 1 or 2 of the crash sites. I will also go up to the German Cemetary in the next couple of days, been meaning to for a while now. Tommorrow I'm actually attending a meeting of a few folk with the aim of setting up a Dublin branch of the Western Front Association. www.hoelti.de/auschner/index_e.htm

Watch to the very end and you'll get a lesson in history that few know about!! Incredible four minute footage of a desperate Spitfire vs. ME-109 duel. You feel like you are there! Amazing computer work blended in with real photography. Also an interesting factual story that most of us did not know. History is rarely 'over'. Now sit back and strap on your parachute harness ... it is the Summer of 1940 over the skies of England. Listen to the perfect 'purr' of the Rolls Royce Merlin ... Watch this full screen. It’s very well done. [BTW, the Brit is the guy with the mustache.] Click on the link below: player.vimeo.com/video/31202906?autoplay=1
