How does this compare with a Gulfstream in terms of $ and bang for your buck?

It is a Gulfstream. The design was originally IAI, the Israeli company that designed the Westwind jet. I don't know about price/operating costs but I dare say they are much lower than say, a Gulfstream V, which is the machine I presume you meant?

The Westwind is estentially a Jet Commander and was orginally an American design, you can see the Aero Commander influence in it.
The G200 pictured above is a mid size executive jet therefore the operating costs would be less than the GIV/V/450/550 etc which are classed as large executive jets

Had the opportunity to fly this Jet and met one of its owners. A nice operation but at the time the "management" company didn't have a clue...even though they thought they did. Hopefully it's all sorted out now and has settled down into a sensible operation.
