Should we be worried about an outbreak of avian influenza? if so will it affect our defence force ? what plans do the government have in place if an outbreak occurs?

in Addition to mai latest post: in the latest issue of Airforce News,DEC05 issue 66. there is an article on pandemic planning. it clearly states the basics for persaonal hygiene for civilians, personal protection packs for those personel who have had to deal with significant risks and an anti-viral Tamiflu Medication for defence personel who are depoyed overseas. but as it states the government is trying their best to do something.
