Occasionally of an investigation in AirCo or de Havilland 9, 60 and 82 on floats I came across this:
a NZPAF AirCo or de Havilland DH.60G on floats with the serial 995
Am looking for information and especially photos of this probably rare aircraft. Any help available? Thanks in advance. Martin

I have checked all my NZPAF DH60 photos and none show 995 sadly. 870 and 871 feature, and one with no number, but that is it.

That was 995 alright, New Zealand's first aerial gunship. Apparently they dropped a few leaflets as well.
Of course, with the weight of the gun on board, pilot Wallingford could only fly solo.

A photo and a sketch of the floatplane appears on page 73 of my Swift to the Sky. Errol
