Ardmore and North Shore for FSX

Hi all, I have FSX, quite new to the whole flight sim thing, I have down loaded a Ardmore and North shore air fields 3rd party, but there are no other air craft at these air ports, does any one know of a decent Ardmore and North Shore for FSX?

I live about 5 minutes from Ardmore and would like to have my airfield populated with AI in FSX

Mate I'm up for that, I'll PM you next time I'm going up there, I usually take my wife ans son up, they love it up there, I want to go up to take some pics on this weekend, just got to wait to see if I can get out of something first.

You probably have the best Ardmore/North Shore airfield for FSX as there aren't any very good "payware" quality airfields available for FSX for North Shpotre & Ardmore (wish there was). Where did you download them?

There are some very good freeware airfields out there including Whakatane, Opotiki, Kaipara Flats, Coromandel & Springhill (search Tim Barnes (Timmo) at Avsim.com).

There is some good payware and freware available here including Hamilton, Taupo, Te Kuiti, Raglan, Wanganui, Manapouri, Mt Cook, Milford Sounds, Okiwi, Claris & Chatham Islands.

There is also some very good payware scenery and freeware airports here including Wanaka, Tekapo, Nelson, Wellington, Paraparaumu, Tauranga, Rotorua, Omaka, Woodbourne & Koromiko:

There is also a GNZLAP AI package available here which will populate your NZ airfields with GA aircraft.

I think I downloaded my Ardmore and North Shore from AVSIM.

I'll have a good look at your links.

If I download the NZ AI stuff, will it affect any other AI I already have like the air liners and the RNZAF stuff I have?

It shouldn't affect any of your existing AI

The trouble with the flightsim stuff is - it doesn't replicate the strong downdraft on North Shore's crosswind strip coming in from the south ....

True. Flight simulations are just that, simulations. Ideally the users own real world experience will fill in the gaps between the sim and reality
