Just a heads up for this Thursday on TV7. After media 7 at about 2105hrs they are showing the film "Wings" (made in the 20s)
Unfortunately I can't get TV7 so I can't tape it.

I just looked on Mum's TiVo and it said after Media 7 is something called Worlds of English and then something called Cracking Up. No sign of Wings.

It was mentioned on Nat Radio this afternoon on Jim Mora's show between 1319 and 1333 by the guy ,Phil Wallington, who presents media 7

Strangely enough the 1927 'Wings' was mentioned yesterday. Apparently some new production received best movie award this year. It was a silent film! The last silent film to receive the award was Wings, which immediately preceded a major economic recession and depression. That was the joke on the night so I heard. With any luck it will stay a joke.

Not much of a joke, the great Depression began in 1929, two years after Wings. And the current recession/depression has been ongoing since 2008.
I really want to see that new silent film, it looks really well done.
