I note in the March 2012 issue of Air Force News that in the retirements from Ohakea for December/January is one Squadron Leader J.R. Jennings, Pilot.
I assume this is the well known ex-Skyhawk pilot Jim Jennings?
Best of luck to him in his future, he's been a notable name in the RNZAF for many decades and I'm sure will be missed by many.

You assume correctly. I think last year marked his 50th year in the RNZAF.

Yes, saw the magazine on line yesterday, haven't got my hard copy delivered as yet. Saw his name there and thought it must be him.

Speaking of long term service, WGCDR Harry Nicholson was dined out from Defence Headquarters earlier this month, following some 48 years of service.
Harry was a stalwart of the Telecommunications Trade for decades, and pretty much oversaw the progression of Comms & Information systems from Morse Code to the modern world of broadband networks.....

I remember from my tech admin cse there was a guy called Mr P in wellington that had been there for quite a long time. he still there.

I remember from my tech admin cse there was a guy called Mr P in wellington that had been there for quite a long time. he still there. There was a Mr P at Woodbourne when I left - Lefty Palmer, ran the engineering workshop at ETF. Ex WO Avtech, I think. Was at 2TTS then ETF for years.
