The documentary a few nights ago about the tsunami was interesting and very well made I thought. We can learn a lot from the Japanese experience. Those scenes at the airport are sad but not unexpected. All those aeroplanes and helicopters would no doubt have been written off.

Look for similar footage from WLG someday. All except the northern end of the runway is officially in a tsunami risk zone.

Looks like twelve written off, six to be repaired. i wonder how many two-seaters this leaves them with (the squadron destroyed in the earthquake was the training unit).
