I quite like the Yak-3, it looks right for a fighter of that vintage. It was a bit of a shock for the Luftwaffe when it appeared, and it could easily be mistaken for the not-so-nimble Yak-9. A directive even came in late 1944 for Luftwaffe pilots to 'avoid combat below 5000m with any Yakovlev fighter that lacked an oil cooler under the nose'.

I love listening to that engine, after start-up the racket is awesome. I can't wait to see her fly. Well done to Jay, Dan and co.
